The University of Cyprus, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology–Zurich and the Technical University of Eindhoven are co-organising an International Workshop aimed for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers who wish to engage in urban environmental studies.

The course addresses both theory and applications in urban fluid mechanics and climate, and it integrates training in field measurements, laboratory experiments and numerical simulations. The course will take place in Limassol and will also involve a full-day training in the Environmental Fluid Mechanics Laboratory of the University of Cyprus in Nicosia on advanced flow measurement techniques (such as Particle Image Velocimetry) supported by LaVision GmbH. Field measurements and relevant training will take place in Limassol at the seaside and the city center.

Further  information about the school course and the registration procedure can be found on the school website www.urbanphysics2012.org.
